Dust Cartridge Filters

Finding the right size filter will require you to measure a few different sections of your current filter. You’ll need to measure the length, inner diameter, outer diameter, and pleat count. The pleat count is the number of folds of the media that your filter cage can hold.

MERV stands for minimum efficiency rating values, and it is a measurement of a filter’s ability to catch particles between 0.3 and 10 microns. Each MERV rating is split into 3 micron ranges. Each range gets a percentage of how efficiently the filter can capture particles within that micron range.

For example, if a filter has a MERV rating of 15, the percentage of efficiency is 85% for particles in the 0.3 to 1 micron range, 90% for 1 to 3, and 95% for 3 to 10.
