Material Selection

Polyester

Durable against most particles, however, ineffective when there’s high moisture. Has a maximum operating temperature of 275°.

Polypropylene

Effective in resisting chemicals and moist heat and can perform with a maximum temperature of 190°.

Aramid

Performs well but isn’t ideal for extreme temperatures or acidic conditions. Can withstand temperatures up to 400°.

Acrylic

Acrylic material can be considered under mild acidic conditions or in moist environments. It has a max continuous operating temperature of 250°.

PPS

Can function well in highly abrasive environments and can resist chemicals and extreme heat. Has a maximum continuous operating temperature of 375°.

P-84

Holds up in abrasive environments and extreme heat, including temperatures up to 420°.

Woven Fiberglass

High-quality, usually used for high-temperature situations with optimal functionality up to 500°.

Cotton

A flexible and very versatile option that is available in various styles such as duck, napped, and more.

Nylon

Micron rated and best used for specialty projects. Nylon is a durable and cost-effective material.
